3 Daily Cognitive Exercises to Strengthen Your Walk With Christ
1. The “Where Is My Agreement?” Check-In
Every day, morning or night, ask yourself:
“What did I mentally agree with today that didn’t align with God?”
Because a lot of the enemy’s influence comes through silent agreements.
You observe something… you internalize it… and before you know it, it becomes a belief.
This exercise helps you break that pattern by catching things early.
Ask yourself:
Did I agree with fear today?
Did I agree with doubt?
Did I agree with someone’s negative opinion?
Did I agree with a behavior that doesn’t reflect who I am in Christ?
Then consciously replace it with what God says about you.
This is daily spiritual maintenance.
2. The “Fruit Spotting” Reflection
At the end of the day, take 3 minutes and reflect:
“Where did I show Christ today, and where did I miss it?”
Not in a shameful way, but in a growth way.
Observe your own behavior like somebody is watching (because spiritually, someone always is).
Ask:
Did I show patience today?
Did I show grace?
Did I forgive when I could’ve snapped?
Did I walk in peace or did I let chaos guide me?
Did I model Christ in a way someone could learn from?
This is how you build self-awareness that aligns with scripture, not just emotions.
3. The “Reframe & Renew” Exercise
This one is based on both psychology and scripture.
When you catch a negative thought, don’t just fight it — reframe it.
Example:
“I’m failing.” → “God is developing me.”
“I’m stuck.” → “I’m being stretched for where I’m going.”
“I don’t see results.” → “God is working behind the scenes.”
“This is too hard.” → “His strength is made perfect in my weakness.”
This is how you train your mind to interpret your experiences through faith, not fear.
It’s Romans 12:2 in action, renewing your mind on purpose.
Do this even once a day and you’ll start seeing shift.
